Statement of Belief

Banner Ministries deals with deception and apostasy, and these subjects are relevant to ALL denominations; therefore we try to make our materials as far-reaching as possible. We try to avoid controversy on minor points of doctrine. However, having said that, we as individuals do hold to certain truths that we believe are found in the Word of God. Briefly, they are as follows:

1. We believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, One God, holy, eternal ever-existant and undivided.

2. We believe in a literal Heaven and Hell; in the eternal reward of the believer and the eternal judgement of the unbeliever.

3. We believe that upon death the believer's spirit goes to be with the Lord and it will subsequently receive a glorious resurrection body at His Coming.

4. We believe in the virgin birth, the sinless life, the literal death and bodily resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ; the atoning work of the Cross, the once-for-all perfect sacrifice of Jesus on behalf of mankind; justification by faith alone and demonstrated by works of righteousness by means of the in-filling of the Holy Spirit.

5. We believe in a literal satan, his demonic forces and hosts, and that he is at present the god of this world, under the permit of the Eternal Father.

6. We believe in the literal, personal re-appearance and coming again of Jesus Christ.

7. We believe in the present-day work of the Holy Spirit in the Church and that His gifts, ministries and fruit are active in all generations until the Second Coming.

8. We believe the Church is the Body of Christ composed of born-again believers; we believe in the observance of water baptism by immersion for believers only, and the Lord's Supper.

9. We believe the Bible is the divinely inspired and infallible Word of God, relevant to all ages, having authority for all people at all times.

10. We believe in the future fulfillment of every unfulfilled biblical prophecy relating to Israel, the Church and the World; and in the coming global kingdom of antichrist; and in the security of believers during that time, whether by a catching-away or a supernatural protection.

11. We believe in the Judgement of God upon wickedness and disobedience, and in the binding of satan as a future event to be accomplished by the sovereign work of God.

12. We believe in the resurrection of the righteous to reign with Christ a thousand years, and after that time, the resurrection of all to judgement before the Throne of God.

13. We believe that God will create a perfect new Heavens and Earth.

14. We believe that the present work of the Holy Spirit is to call out a remnant people for Himself, the true Church of God, who will remain true to the scriptures and in faith with God, and that this remnant will be persecuted and abandoned by the great majority of religious people, who will progressively fall into error.
